Hi-Fi+ Innovation Award 2021

German Physiks has received a Hi-Fi+ magazine 2021 Innovation award. This is principally for the unique DDD driver that we use on all of our loudspeakers.

The award citation read:

“Unlike the majority of loudspeakers, German Physiks loudspeaker are omnidirectional designs, producing a sound that projects around the room instead of a limited “sweet spot” listening position. It takes a little time to reorientate yourself to omnidirectional sound, but many prefer t to more conventional designs because of their inherent natural reproduction of the musical ‘whole’. German Physiks an make omnidirectional loudspeakers because it builds its own Dicks Dipole Drivers, based on the principles originally laid down by Lincoln Walsh and perfected by German engineer and mathematician Peter Dicks. in 1978, and the DDD is used in every German Physiks speaker.

Recently, German Physiks has also ventured into power cable and amplification, in order to extract the very best possible performance from its speakers.”
